CRAFTS
Mon 15th August – Make your own Viking shield
Wed 17th August – What to Make Wednesday – bring in your recycling and see what you can create (we’ll also have some here!)
Friday 19th August – Make a flag ready for a Viking battle
Sessions: 10am-12pm & 1pm-3pm
Cost: £2 per child, with a valid annual pass (Children must be accompanied by an adult)
Suitable for ages 3+
TAKE PART TUESDAY & THURSDAY
Tuesday 16th August & Thursday 18th August – 2 hr sessions
Ever wanted to live the life of a Viking? Join us at Murton Park to explore how our ancestors lived through history. We’re running two hour living history experiences that allow visitors to step back in time and pretend to be somebody from the past.
Viking activity sessions include:
- Clay pendant making – make your own Viking pendant to take home with you
- Guarding – learn how to fight in the shieldwall! Defend the village with a spear and shield
- Flour grinding – learn how the Vikings made flour by having a go yourself
Sessions: 10.30am-12.30pm & 1pm-3pm
Cost: £8 per person, with a valid annual pass (Children must be accompanied by an adult)
Suitable for ages: 7-77!
