Adventures for little kids and big kids alike (yes, that’s you too grown-ups!)

Seesaws. Swings. Sand pits. Oh my! And that’s just in our outdoor playground. There’s plenty more activities and ideas to keep the kids happy, climbing, and creative.

With exciting adventures for all ages, preschoolers will love building towers at the soft play located in the Museum while the craft-filled tables and Lego station and role play in the indoor play barns will spark big imaginations. The real question is… how many times do you think they’ll return to the ride-on pedal tractors?

FAQs

Is there fun stuff for preschoolers?

Yes – we’ve got something for every age! Our youngest visitors love playing on the ride-on tractors, making potions in the sand kitchen, and scribbling on activity sheets.

Can I bring my own food?

Yes, we have picnic tables by our playground where you’re welcome to eat your own food and drink. However, only food bought from our Yorkshire Barn Café can be eaten in the café area.

Do I need to pay extra for monthly events like craft club and Lego club?

Most activities and events are included with your ticket, including our monthly clubs. And because each ticket is an Annual Pass, you can visit as many times as you want within 12 months. We’re all about family value!

What about seasonal events?

Some events, like our sell-out Christmas experience, are available at an extra charge. If this is the case, it will always be made clear at the time of booking.

Are your facilities accessible and Makaton-friendly?

We’re proud to be York’s first Makaton-friendly family attraction. We work in partnership with Makaton tutors and have been awarded the Bronze Makaton Friendly Accreditation. This means that you’ll find signs and symbols used across our site to help visitors with learning and communication difficulties and our Front of House team are trained to welcome visitors and help them find their way around.
