Join illustrator and printmaker Abbie Mooney for an introduction to the art of Japanese stab bookbinding.
In this introductory session, Abbie will guide you through the process of constructing a simple stab-bound notebook, working through to a larger sketchbook featuring your own stitch design.
This workshop is perfect for beginners or those who have tried other bookbinding processes before as you will be equipped with the skills to combine new and familiar techniques to make books that are personal to you while developing your skills in a small group.
You will leave the workshop with helpful guides to make your own books at home, as well as three of your own handmade books. All materials and equipment included.
The bookbinding workshop costs £35 per person and includes a hot drink and cake on arrival.
