Wander through the Viking village to experience the sights, smells and sounds of how our ancestors lived over a thousand years ago. Meet members of the wonderful Jorfor’s Hall Early Medieval Re-enactment and Living History Group who will be living as Vikings and showing a range of crafts and skills from that time.

Discover what it was like for the early settlers of the Kingdom of Elmet (Leeds) in the 1150s. As you step back in time you will meet members of the Elmetsæte (Leeds Settlers) living history group in authentic medieval costume who will have be demonstrating a range of crafts from the time.

Ever wanted to see a real Horse equipped to take a knight into battle? Here is your chance and you don’t even need a time machine! The Historical horse group Equistry will be at Murton Park demonstrating medieval military techniques from horseback and will be very happy to answer all your questions.

This is a day not to be missed there will be a selection of vintage steam engines, stationary engines, classic cars, vintage tractors spread throughout Murton Park as well as train shunting demonstrations from the Derwent Valley Light Railway.
